Advanced AutoNumbering provides a dynamic approach to the creation of file naming counters within PDM Professional.

Although PDM Professional's inbuilt Serial Number generator takes an autonomous approach to creating document and drawing filenames, a more interactive approach may sometimes be required as a result of updated industry legislation or existing organisational standards; where rigid file naming conventions need to apply across the entire user base.

Advanced AutoNumbering is designed to generate unique IDs based on parameters selected by the user, such as defining a drawing's filename by product range/type.
